About us

The Water Tower Mountain Bike Trail Network, a city backed initiative to develop the 28 acre plot of land off Tower Line behind the Water Tower into a mountain bike trail system, and we need your help.

We have access to about 29 acres off Water Tower Road where the base of the water tower sits. Weare working on building single track trails with an access road in case of emergency. The trails will be family friendly with a similar trail rating structure seen at other trails (Green, blue, black trail rating based on difficulty of trail/features). We will be starting with green trails close to the lot/road and expanding as much as we can in the near future.

Creating Paths to a Greener COmmunity

Connections to nature, to others and with ourselves are foundational elements of well being. A mountain bike trail system can be the keystone. Healthy, happy, and productive individuals build thriving communities and a mountain bike trail system is a proven way to promote healthful habits by getting us out into nature and active in a fun and ever challenging way. St. Thomas is well along the path to the development of our own trail infrastructure and the continued development of our already strong community

OUR PLAN

As bike riders, we all dream of having trails in our backyard. Luckily, we have an opportunity where we can make that dream a reality for the cycling community in St. Thomas, Ontario. We're planning on constructing mountain bike trails for people of all ages and skill levels. St. Thomas is currently a bronze level cycling community and we're trying to bring it to a gold level. In order to do that we need your help!

We currently have 5 trails almost near completion and are excited to get everything up and running. Stay tuned for more information!
